Volunteer Opportunities

JVS is the leading agency in Western Missouri helping resettle refugees who have fled from some of the most strife-filled areas of the world. JVS volunteers can have a key role in the successful resettlement of refugees in a number of ways. Volunteers help refugees directly by mentoring them and indirectly by finding support services to assist them. Please explore the options listed below for service opportunities. If you have a skill or area of knowledge you believe can benefit JVS but is not covered below, call us. We are open to your suggestions of assistance. We anticipate you will find JVS as a place where your volunteer time and effort is meaningful and has a significant impact on the lives of our clients. To volunteer, please contact Pete Cabell at 816-471-2808 or pcabell@jvskc.org.
