JVS of Kansas City Refugee Employment Services

JVS offers a wide variety of services for refugees to the United States, including acculturation, independent living, job placement, and translation. These programs are funded either by state and federal government or private foundations.

                      MISSOURI REFUGEE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

This program provides comprehensive employment services for the purpose of achieving social and economic self-sufficiency to refugees who have been in the U.S. for less than five years and live in Missouri.

                                         Eligibility Requirements

• Over 16 years of age
  
• Lived in U.S. less than 5 years,
  
• Eligible for employment services
  
• Lived in U.S. for more than 5 years,
  
• Eligible for information & referral
  

• Documented refugee status (I-94) or
  
• Asylee Status or CubanHatian Entrant
  
• Proof of residence
